Save each filament’s material, color, spool weight, purchase price, and stock. Start with the filaments you use most, or import your existing records from a CSV file.
Update stock as it changes
Adjust the full-spool count when you buy or open a spool, and keep the grams recorded under In use up to date. Check the combined available amount before agreeing to a job.
Use the costs in a quote
Select a saved material when you calculate a print job. Add printer time, labor, hardware, and packaging so your quote includes the work and supplies needed to finish it.
Check how much filament is available.
A useful filament tracker accounts for both full spools and material already in use. In 3DPCC, Stock is the number of full spools. Available combines their total weight with the usable grams recorded under In use.
For example, eight 1 kg spools plus 620 g recorded under In use gives 8.62 kg available. Check that figure for the material and color the customer needs, then use its saved cost when pricing the job.

Keep resin, hardware, and packaging in their own inventory tables. A finished product might need resin or filament, a pair of magnets, threaded inserts, and a box. Record those supplies and include their costs when you calculate the job.

How stock figures, material costs, and imports work in 3DPCC.
Ask us a questionWhat do Stock, In use, and Available mean?
Stock is your full-spool count. In use is the gram amount recorded for active material. Available is the weight of the full spools plus that In use amount. For accurate figures, update both fields as your stock changes and check that each filament’s spool weight is correct.
Can I track Bambu Lab, Prusament, and other brands?
Yes. Save filaments from different manufacturers with their own materials, colors, and purchase costs. For example, you can track Bambu Lab PLA Basic and Prusament PLA as separate records, even when both are PLA.
Can I manage resin, hardware, and packaging inventory too?
Yes. PRO includes separate inventory for resin, hardware, and packaging. Track supplies such as inserts, magnets, boxes, and mailers alongside your printing materials, and include their costs when pricing a job.
Can I import my filament spreadsheet?
Yes. Filament CSV import and export are included in PRO. Arrange your spreadsheet columns in the supported CSV format, then review the import before confirming it. Export lets you take a copy of your filament data too. Download a spreadsheet and CSV starter.
Do I need to connect my printer for filament tracking?
No. You maintain your stock records in 3DPCC without connecting a printer or AMS. Update the full-spool count and In use amount as you buy, open, and use filament.
Can I use my saved filament costs in a quote?
Yes. Select a saved material and enter the amount the job uses. Add printer time, labor, and other costs, choose a margin, and save the result as a quote with PRO. Explore 3D printing quoting software.
Is filament inventory included in the Free plan?
Your own saved inventory requires PRO. Free lets you estimate print costs with preset materials and printers. Create a free account first, then choose PRO when you want to save and manage your own supplies. Compare Free and PRO.
